A lot of beginners in bodyweight-training think that they can learn a new skill over night. To be honest it took me almost 8 months to get from an assisted half assed squat to a fully ass to grass pistol squat and I still have room to improve.
Too much rounding in my back and as you can see I have balance issues on my right leg due to unsufficient mobility. My head also needs to look straight forward.
It won´t take you that long to learn a pistol squat, but you have to realize that you have to be consistent, patient and have specific goals.
You may be able to train randomly at the beginning of your "training-career", but after a while it is way harder to get better at certain things if you do it that way.
